*Black American Princess.
I’m extremely blessed. My parents have been married forever and my great grandmother was a successful entrepreneur. I’ve had generations of black excellence to feed off of since birth.
Even though I am a recovering stutterer, as a child I was confident, highly intelligent, and a gifted athlete. Having been enrolled in speech therapy since I was five years old, I was extremely shy about speaking in public. It may be a shock for you that I speak to the masses for a living…but it doesn’t shock me or the people who know me well. I am very persistent and patient (well kinda). I knew one day I would find my voice.
After interning for two summers at a top Investment Bank my future was set in stone but a trip abroad to Japan changed the trajectory of my life and career forever. Upon my return I decided to ditch Wall Street and headed to Brown University to pursue a degree in theater where I had the opportunity to work full time on my speech with the amazingly talented voice, speech and accent coach Thom Jones. It was there that I found my voice and gained the confidence to speak publicly.

Today you can find me at home organizing my pantry or underwear drawer. Hiking first thing in the morning. Cooking up a new dish, or trying some crazy diet. But nine times out of ten I’m snuggled up on my oversized white sofa binge watching tv with my hubby.

Meeting new people and sharing ideas/tips for work and home is always exciting. I’m always trying to find that work/life balance like the rest of the world. I love my life…sometimes I have to pinch myself because my dreams are becoming reality. I believe we can all lead extraordinary lives if we have the vision, perseverance and most of all patience. I am the CEO of my life and so are you!
A tri-coastal stand-up comedian who recently relocated my home base from sunny Los Angeles to Little America aka Maryland where I reside with my husband. I’m obsessed with all things lifestyle. Now I get to share it with you!
